Gaines Ranch on the Square was a perfect place to rest and unwind! My sister and I found it to be so well appointed and very very comfortable! We will most definitely recommend this little taste of luxury in the hill country to friends and family!
My husband and I celebrated an end-of-the-year couples getaway in Wimberley, and he surprised us with a stay at Gaines Ranch — and I can confidently say I’ll never stay anywhere else when visiting Wimberley again. Not only are the rooms styled to perfection with a modern, boutique feel, but the beds are so comfortable, and you truly can’t beat the central location. To top it all off, having your own dedicated parking spot is such a game-changer. We even had our 4-month-old son with us, and the walkability made everything so easy — shops, restaurants, and trails were all right outside our door. It was the perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and charm. We loved our stay so much that I’ve already booked a family girls’ trip here for this summer. Gaines Ranch is truly a gem!
Amazing hotel. Loved being able to walk to so many restaurants and shops. We stayed in the Cutter Suite. Beautifully decorated, spacious, and so clean.
I give this a 4.5/5, but it would not let me give a half star. Excellent location, cute room, great service. I could not give it a 5, because the walls are thin and you can hear the neighbors. I would definitely recommend this place though.
Our stay at Gaines Ranch was perfect from check in till departure. Communication was impecable. Accomodations more than perfect for short get away. From the room decor to the comfort exhibited by the entire facility was beyond our expectations and was within walking distance to food, wine and shopping. The entire facility owned by the Gaines family is second to none in Wimberly. Would not hesitate for a return family with friends or adult family. Not a lot to do for the kiddos in this small quaint town. I kidded with the owners the only fault I could find, being a Sooner Fan, was the exterior doors were painted Orange and Black. Stay was nothing short of PERFECTION!
Wonderful stay at Gaines Ranch on the Square. We were in town for my daughter’s wedding, and some of our guests stayed here also. Everyone loved their rooms; the bedding was lovely, everything was crisp and clean. The decor was on point, and the location was perfect- everything was walkable for us, except for the wedding. Highly recommend, will stay again if we have an occasion to visit Wimberley!
absolutely beautiful rooms, exquisite detail in design and decoration. On the square in Wimberly. Only reason not 5 stars is that it would be beneficial to have a lift to get luggage up to the 2nd floor.
Super cute and cozy place to stay right on the square! Accommodations were great, as was the communication. Will definitely stay here again!
